Gratitude Attitude Thanksgiving

Covid Thanksgiving is different, but it can lead to being truly thankful, every day of the year.

‘Tis the season to be thankful. And what I have realized is that my perception of the term “gratitude attitude” has truly changed my life.

This year, my Thanksgiving is quite different than in recent years, as surely many of yours are too. Typically, my Thanksgiving is split between three different houses of families residing in three different cities. We do a lot of driving and see a lot of family and friends this one day of the year. We eat a lot — A Lot, of food! But Black Friday shopping is always the highlight. Frankly, the day is a bit exhausting, but it is tradition.

This year I will spend it in my own home, with only my immediate family, without shopping, and though I am sad I will not be seeing my extended family or traveling, I am definitely experiencing some relief. And for that, I am so thankful.

What I have come to realize from the CDC’s recommendation of not traveling this year due to the virus, is that every day is a day to be thankful.
